![]() ![]() I don't know what they were doing in AoW 2, but at some point they changed their name to Archons and then in AoW 3, they too became the undead through some mysterious event that nobody in universe has been able to figure out.Īs far back as the first AoW game, we can see the Frostlings are another example. ![]() In AoW 1, they were a race of angelic beings, who claimed to be the progenitors of Humans, and had come to save the world from the threat of the undead. ![]() The High Men are perhaps the most glaring example of all. Apparently, people believe the races have established lore associated with them, that should remain constant.Īnd while I would normally agree whole heartedly to following the lore in other game settings, I've been giving it some thought in regards to AoW, and I realize that the races contained therein actually have a long history of changing their ways and adopting new identities. Alright, I hope the situation isn't quite as bad, but I've already seen people being skeptical about, or reluctant to embrace the idea of the factions being more customizeable than ever. ![]()
